Zarco dominates opening practice

Three tenths of a second was the advantage that Johann Zarco held over the field after the opening practice session at Brno. The runaway championship leader looks on course to get back to winning ways after dominating the session to lead from Jonas Folger and the returning Simone Corsi.

Tito Rabat and Sam Lowes were inside the top six but there was a surprise in seventh with Luis Salom having an impressive start to the weekend. The Spaniard has had a very disappointing year but rode well this morning to finish within six tenths of Zarco.

Alex Rins, the winner at Indy, was 13th fastest.
