Moto3 recap: Round 3 - Argentina

1 of 1

Fresh from a dominant win at COTA Danny Kent stretched his legs even further in Argentina and won by an incredible ten seconds at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

Kent started from the front row but dropped to fourth on the second lap before vaulting to the lead and immediately opening a gap to his pursuers as they once again fought with one another for second. With his rivals tripping over themselves Kent was one second a lap faster at times and afterwards felt that his crushing victory was an easier win than some others.

“To be honest it wasn’t such a difficult race,” said Kent. “Austin was probably more difficult because of the track conditions but I’m really happy because we were strong all weekend again.  It’s been another solid, great weekend. We’ve worked really hard and that’s paid off for us. We didn’t just win this race, we dominated it.

“I didn’t expect to open a ten second lead but all weekend we’ve had the pace. I didn’t get pole position but I knew that our race pace was excellent and that I could pull away but I wasn’t expecting ten seconds. Austin was my strongest race at that point but today was another step and winning by ten seconds makes this my best win and the best race of my career.”
