Zarco claims Moto2 pole

Johann Zarco will start from pole position in tomorrow’s Catalan Grand Prix after the Frenchman continued his blistering form to set the pace from Jonas Folger and Tito Rabat. Sam Lowes saved a high speed crash mid-session to finish the day fifth fastest with the Englishman content with his speed this weekend.

Lowes, who has started every race from the front two rows of the grid, told MCN that this weekend he feels that the Speed Up is at more of a disadvantage than it has been at other races because the tyre compounds are so hard but he still feels confident that he can have a strong race and challenge for the podium.
