Pramac duo make it through to QP2

The QP1 session was dominated by Pramac Ducati with Danilo Petrucci and Yonny Hernandez both overcoming early mistakes to set the fastest times during the opening qualifying session at Jerez with late laps from both allowing them to outpace Hector Barbera and Maverick Vinales and move through to the final shootout.

A mistake by Vinales at the last corner cost him any chance of making it through but the Spaniard will start tomorrow’s race from 14th on the grid with Eugene Laverty on the sixth row having finished the session as the leading Open Honda rider and less than a tenth behind Hiro Aoyama on the Factory machine.
