Peerless Zarco wins at Motegi

1 of 1

Johann Zarco celebrated being crowned Moto2 world champion by taking a dominant victory at Motegi in damp conditions. With the rain having stopped the track continued to dry throughout the 15 lap race and the conditions proved treacherous for riders with lots of crashes but, as has been the case all year, Zarco was peerless.

Jonas Folger and Sandro Cortese gave Germany plenty to cheer about by rounding off the podium places ahead of Azlan Shah who had been running on the podium places until the final laps.

Sam Lowes was eighth with the Englishman getting faster and faster as the track dried.
