Belgian rider Livio Loi has topped the second day of testing at Qatar’s Losail International Circuit, making the most of the RW Racing GP Honda’s top speed and his diminutive size to finish the day at the ultra-fast track with a lap of 2:05.824.

However, it was a charge of KTMs behind him, with Fabio Quartararo leading the Team Sky VR46 bikes of rookie Nicolo Beluga and Romano Fenati, Joan Mir on the Leopard Racing bike, and Brad Binder on the factory Red Bull Ajo KTM.

Jorge Navarro was the next best Honda in seventh on the Estrella Galicia 0.0 machine, ahead of the Mahindra of Jorge Martin, with Niccolo Antonelli and Philipp Ottel rounding out the top ten.

Scotland’s John McPhee was 26th on the Saxoprint Peugeot bike, over two seconds off the pace of the leaders.
