Valentino Rossi TT trip delayed due to bad weather

Valentino Rossi’s appearance at the Isle of Man TT has been postponed until Monday June 8 due to poor weather forecasts.

Here is the official announcement from the Isle of Man TT press office…

The Isle of Man Government, Dainese, Yamaha and MCN have decided to postpone the Valentino Rossi visit to the TT races, based on information received in relation to the uncertain weather conditions.

Valentino Rossi will now visit the Isle of Man on Monday 8th June 2009.  The eight-time MotoGP world champion has rescheduled his trip so that he will be able to complete a lap of the course and experience the TT races.

Vittorio Cafaggi, Communications Director,  Dainese commented:  “Valentino is very much looking forward to visiting the Isle of Man and is keen to experience the races which is why we have rescheduled his trip to make sure that he is able to enjoy a lap of the course and be certain of a full day’s racing.”

Hon Martyn Quayle, MHK, Minister for Tourism and Leisure, Isle of Man Government commented:  “We are very grateful to Valentino for being flexible with his visit to the Isle of Man and look forward to welcoming him this Monday”.
