The Northern Irish –based Mar-Train Racing team have announced that 25-year-old Dean Harrison will continue to race with them for the 2015season. The Bradford-born racer will become their sole competitor, competing in all three classes; Supersport, Superstock & Superbike. Mar-Train, who represents Yamaha on the International road racing scene, has been competing since 2007, enjoying successes in both Britain and abroad.

Harrison begun racing with Mar-Train for the 2014 season, competing in the Supersport class on a Yamaha R6. Over the next two years, he will become the focus of Mar-Train in their push for victory.

He commented: “I’m delighted to finally be able to announce my plans for the next two seasons as part of Mar-Train Racing. They are a family run effort, but you only have to look at what they have achieved in British championship, and also at the NW200 last year, to understand how committed the whole team is to transferring that onto the roads in a full time job next season. I know that 2015 is going to be a belter!”

Tim Martin, the team’s principal expressed his excitement for the new move at the Milan EIMCA motorcycle show, which is taking place over the week. He said: “It’s great to finally be able to announce that Dean will be joining us for the next two seasons. He is the guy we wanted all along having worked with him this season with tangible success and it’s great that he’s here with us in Milan to see the unveiling of the new bike.”

The first race of the season for the team will be the North West 200 in May 2015. Whilst the team have not yet released their official race schedule, they are expected to be taking part in the Southern 100, Scarborough events and hand-picked national road races in Ireland alongside the renowned North West 200, Isle of Man TT and Ulster Grand Prix.
