Johnston makes it a treble after second red flag

Lee Johnston has taken his third win of the day in the second supersport race at the 2015 Ulster Grand Prix, after a red flag in on the fifth lap of the race left the result in the hands of the same rules that cost Ian Hutchinson a win in the opening race.

Johnston has battled all race long with Glenn Irwin, with Hutchinson in close formation behind them – but it was Dean Harrison who lost out on a podium spot after battling though to take the third place off Hutchinson just in time for the race to be halted.

Originally scheduled to be re-started, the race was declared a result after Clerk of Course Noel Johnston returned from attending an incident on the course, as the club push to complete the full day’s racing schedule.
