McGee takes maiden international win

Derek McGee has cemented his place as one of the rising stars of the road-racing scene by taking a faultless victory in damp conditions in the supertwin class at the 2015 Ulster Grand Prix.

The Irishman, who split last month from Wilson Craig Racing, made a strong start in the four-lap race and never looked back, eventually taking the win by over a second from James Cowton.

Dan Cooper was a strong third, after closing down pole position man Glenn Irwin, who admitted afterwards that with being in strong contention for the British Supersport championship, he wasn’t prepared to push on a wet track.
