A host of top Honda Racing riders have been given a pre-season assessment at the English Institute for Sport ahead of the beginning of their 2015 campaigns. BSB riders Jason O’Halloran and Dan Linfoot and road racers Conor Cummins and John McGuinness were joined by Pata Honda WSB stars Sylvain Guintoli and Michael van der Mark.

Also in attendance were offroading racers from the Honda Family, with Enduro World Champion Alex Salvini heading up a field that also included three time British Women’s Champion Natalie Kane.

Training at the centre were many of Team GB’s athletes prepared for the London Olympics, the racers were subjected to a day of fitness, strength and flexibility assessment and coaching.

Reigning World Superbike champion Guintoli said afterwards: “Monday was a fantastic way to dust myself off again after winter. It was also great to be together with Mikey and the other Honda riders, getting ready to compete again! The tests we did were really interesting and it’s been a really good way to start the season.”

Conor Cummins was also positive about the experience: “I really enjoy coming to the EIS and this year has been even better as we’re able to see any improvement and changes compared to last year. I have my own trainer and usually train with him alone, so it’s nice to get together with the other riders and compare notes. I’ll definitely be taking all the data back to my coach so we can use it to figure out my fitness programme for the year ahead.”
