Guy Martin bookies’ front runner to join Top Gear

Isle of Man TT racer and TV presenter Guy Martin is one of the bookies’ favourites to replace Jeremy Clarkson as the host of hit BBC series Top Gear. The racer is currently a clear front-runner in the betting, alongside DJ Chris Evans and model Jodie Kidd.

Anti-biking Clarkson was forced out of the show, which measures its viewers in the millions, earlier this week after allegedly punching a producer during an after-shooting row about food.

Martin has established himself as a go-to in television presenting in recent years, firstly on his narrowboat project The Boat That Guy Built, and again with his hit series Speed.
