MCN’s Adam Child ready for the Spring Cup

MCN Senior Road Tester Adam Child will once again line up on the Norton supertwin machine built by the apprentices from the Derbyshire manufacturer’s British Motorcycle Manufacturing Academy for this weekend’s Spring Cup at Oliver’s Mount.

He’ll ride the supertwin machine developed by the factory and the Academy, which utilizes a Kawasaki ER-6 engine in a custom built chassis. The young team competed at last year’s Gold Cup, eventually finishing 8th after a poor qualifying which saw Adam starting from row five in 23rd position. At last years Spring Cup Adam finished a highly creditable 5th and 6th position in the lightweight class.

The MCN Senior Road tester and Yorkshireman is looking forward to his local event. “I can’t wait to kick off a new season with the academy team. We didn’t have a great season last year following my crash at the TT, but I’m looking forward to this year and racing at my home track.”
