Calling all 500cc Classic race machine owners.

Fancy having a crack at winning this year’s 500cc Classic TT?
Need a top class pilot who knows his way around the TT course to steer one of your machines?
Well your prayers may just have been answered because 13 times TT winner and outright TT lap record holder, Michael Dunlop has put out a last minute SOS call for a bike to ride in the 500cc Classic TT on Friday, 26 August!

The Ballymoney ace, who is a two time winner of the Formula One superbike race at the Classic TT festival and is already entered for that event on one of Steve Wheatman’s XR69 Suzukis, has ridden for Andy Molnar’s Norton team in the 500cc race in recent years. With the single cylinder Nortons being outgunned by the Paton’s and MV Agustas, Dunlop is hoping to find a bike that will give him a chance of being competitive against the multi cylinder machines this year.

“I would like to have a proper go on a 500 and although I am a bit late of looking for a bike I hope there will be somebody out there who has something  that I could race.” the 27 year old, who won both the Superbike and Senior TT races on the Mountain course last June, says.

“We have the Ulster Grand Prix next week so practice doesn’t start for the Classic for another couple of weeks and I hope that I can get a deal sorted by the time we arrive on the Island.”
