NW200: Seeley storms to Supersport pole

Alastair Seeley secured his second pole position for this year’s North West 200 with a dominant run in this afternoon’s supersport qualifying session.

The Wee Wizard clocked a time of 4’36.088 on the EHA Racing Yamaha to place him 2.821 seconds ahead of Riders’ Triumph’s Martin Jessopp.

Dean Harrison will complete the front row for this evening’s opening race.

Michael Dunlop heads up the second row on the Carl Cox MD Racing Honda ahead of Padgetts Racing’s Lee Johnston while William Dunlop rounds out the top six.

An impressive performance from Adam McLean sees  him bag seventh on the grid ahead of Conor Cummins on the second of the three Padgetts Hondas while Michael Sweeney and Daniel Cooper complete the top ten.

Returning from injury, Ian Hutchinson will start 13th as he gets his first dry session aboard the Padgetts Racing CBR600RR.
