NW200: Thursday practice and race schedule

1 of 1

The 2018 Vauxhall International North West 200 continues on the north coast of Northern Ireland today with the first races scheduled to get underway this evening.

After Tuesday’s practice was hampered by poor weather, riders will be relieved to have woken up to the sun beaming down on the 8.9-mile triangle course this morning.

Roads close at 9:15am with the hope that practice will start at 09:45 with the Supertwins session, with Superstock, Supersport and Superbike outings planned before the evening’s racing.

Roads will re-open briefly between 3pm and 5pm before racing kicks off with the first Supersport, Superstock and Supertwin races taking place tonight.

Lee Johnston led the way in Tuesday’s Superbike practice, which was cut short by a red flag. Michael Dunlop was quickest in the Supersport session, the only fully-dry session of the day. Alastair Seeley topped a wet Superstock session while Derek McGee was fastest in the twins.

You can watch all practice sessions and races live on the BBC Northern Ireland website and keep up live with the MCN Sport twitter page, Instagram and Facebook.
