There had been rumours that GSE Racing would take on Honda’s WSB challenge, but now GSE has confirmed it will remain with Ducati, the decision by the Japanese factory to pull-out looks almost certain.

The decision to quit will be in spite of the new 1000cc limit for four-cylinder WSB machines permissible in 2003. Honda believes the rules regarding the airbox limitations are too strict and is likely to hold off entering a FireBlade-based bike at least until 2004.

A final decision is expected by Friday, October 25.
