Silverstone loses F1 GP

Silverstone has lost the Formula 1 Grand Prix – a decision which casts a gloomy cloud over all the circuit’s activities.

The Northants venue currently hosts a WSB round and a British Superbike round.

MCN is looking into the potential fall-out for bike racing for an update in our issue on Wednesday, October 6.

The British F1 GP has been left off the provisional calendar of races for 2005. The calendar is expected to be ratified by a meeting of the world council of the FIA on October 13.
