Jones 8th in Supersport

Stephan Charpentier has taken the win in the Supersport race at Brands Hatch but it was the Brit wildcards that put on the best show.

Northpoint Honda rider Craig Jones was the man of the race, holding fourth place for most of the 23 laps but eventually slipping down to finish the race in eighth place.

His team-mate Cal Crutchlow managed to push his way up to tenth while Tom Tunstall on the Hardinge Bridgeport Honda made a late charge to take 12th.

Charpentier’s win means that he now has a chance of sealing the championship at the next round.

Second place went to Italian Megabike Honda’s Michael Fabrizio who finished well over a second ahead of third placed man, Aussie Kevin Curtain.
