Cardosa tops WSB test
The last world superbike test before the start of the season next weekend saw reigning Spanish Formula Extreme champion Jose Luis Cardoso take the fastest lap.
The qatar circuit was very dusty from under use, which hampered times in the morning session, but as the track cleared times picked up leaving cardosa to finish the day with a best time of 2:02.618 On his DFX Yamaha R1.
It was the Suzukis of Troy Corsa and Yukio Kagayama that were closest to catching the spaniard with Corsa finishing 0.42 seconds behind and Kagayama a further 0.27 Seconds down.
Wold champion James Toseland had to settle for the fourth fastest time ahead of Fonsi Nieto and Karl Muggeridge. Last year’s second place man and Toseland’s team-mate Regis Laconi finished the session in ninth.
