Walker tops qualifying

Britain’s Chris Walker has qualified on provisional pole for the Czech round of the World Superbike championship on Sunday, July 17.

Walker completed 15 laps with a best time of 2:03.064 to put him ahead of championship leader Troy Corser and Klaffi Honda’s Max Neukirchner. Walker’s PSG-1 Kawasaki team-mate Max Sanchini has also gone well on the first day to qualify in a provisional sixth.

Britiain’s other WSB star, James Toseland, is ninth on the factory Xerox Ducati, four places behind team-mate Regis Laconi.
