Macau: Rutter fastest

Michael Rutter is on course to equal Ron Haslam’s record of six Macau GP wins after topping final qualifying on Friday (Nov 18) in fine and dry conditions.

The race itself is on Saturday (Nov 19).

Rutter , 32, set a 2:30.595 second lap in the closing stages of the session on his Red Bull Honda.

Rutter heads Austrian Thomas Hinterreiter (Yamaha Austria Racing Team) by almost a full second with John McGuinness third.

Callum Ramsay (Klaffi Honda was quickest in the Supersport 600 category.
