British Supersport runner-up in 2005, Craig Jones, has signed for the Foggy-Petronas team to race in World Superbikes in 2006.

Jones has signed a one year deal with the team to race the FP-1, with an option to extend it to a further year at the end of 2006. The involvement by Petronas is also scheduled to finish at the end of 2006 meaning big changes for the team in 2007. Jones has ridden for the Ten Kate team in World Supersport and was hopeful of a deal, but the Foggy-Petronas offer was first to arrive.

“I’m really excited about riding the bike,” said Jones. “It was my aim to be in a world championship last year, and I’m looking forward to racing at the World Superbike tracks.”
