Lanzi in for injured Laconi

Italian Lorenzo Lanzi will ride for the Xerox Ducati World Superbike team as a replacement for the injured Regis Laconi this weekend at Eurospeedway Lausitz.

Laconi was injured during the first qualifying session for the previous round at Assen. His injuries include a gashed elbow and an injured tendon, which willr equire several weeks to heal.

Lanzi, 23, has ridden for the satellite Ducati Caracchi Team throughout 2005, gaining top ten results from the last eight races. His best reult so far was a fifth at Misano. He has also tested at the Eurospeedway in July over two days for the Caracchi Team.
