Simeon moves up

Superstock’s 600 European Champion, Xavier Simeon will make the move up to the 1000 FIM Category for the 2007 season.

The Belgian rider, who won five races in the 2006 series, has signed a contract with Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra to ride alongside Francesco Batta.

Simeon will be competing on the new GSX-R1000 next year.

Still only 17 he is considered one of the most talented youngsters around at the moment. Simeon has pledged his future with the team until 2012.
