Xaus fastest in first WSB free practice

Spain’s Ruben Xaus recorded the best time at the first WSB free practice in Assen.

The Sterilgarda Ducati man completed his fastest lap in 1min 40.460secs just ahead of Britain’s James Toseland who went round in 1:40.529.

Australia’s Troy Bayliss was third this morning at 1:40.826 despite still recovering from the injuries sustained earlier in the month at Donington.

Early title contender Max Biaggi did not have such a good morning down in 14th place at almost two seconds off the fastest time.
