1 of 1

Rumours are breaking out all over the racing world right now that World Superbike rider James Toseland has just signed for Tech 3, to ride their machine in MotoGP next year.

Although nobody will actually confirm any details until later this afternoon, MCN’s World Superbike reporter Michael Guy has been told by an unnamed source that James Toseland and his management met with Yamaha’s Lin Jarvis and Tech 3 Team Boss Herve Poncheral last night – suggesting that James Toseland is about to make the switch from Honda World Superbike to Yamaha MotoGP and will do it with Herve Poncheral’s Tech 3 squad.

MCN understands that, so far, no decision has been made about which tyres the Tech 3 Yamahas will run on in 2008 although the squad has already announced its break up with current suppliers Dunlop.

According to the backroom sources, James Toseland’s current team – the World Superbike and World Supersport giants Ten Kate Honda have already been told of the decision.

An official announcement is expected later on this afternoon – we’ll bring you the full details the very moment they are made public.
