Max Biaggi and Yukio Kagayama wrapped up their two day private test at Lausitzring in Germany with both riders improving their lap times from the opening day. Biaggi took half a second off his day one best to set a 1m39.6s lap of the 2.65 mile circuit.

The Italian got to test everything the team brought for evaluation and left in confident mood having found a setting for his Alstare Suzuki that suited the technical circuit. It was an important test for Biaggi who has never ridden at the Lausitzring before so his two days of testing will prove vital when the series heads back there for the race in September.

He said:

“It’s been a positive day. We finally found a good set up for our bike on this track, of course we will have to see how it works on different circuits, but I’m confident! We ended up testing everything we had during the two days of testing.”

Yukio Kagayama clocked another 79 laps with a best lap of 1m39.54. Kagayama left the test early to fly back to Japan where he is competing in the 300Km race this weekend which is a warm-up to the Suzuka 8-hour race in July.

Race Team Co-ordinator Yann Le Douche said:

“It’s been a successful test. The weather was good and we were able to try many different solutions. Max was able to make a good improvement to his time where as Yukio’s time was similar to yesterday as he was working on a different set-up solution.”
