Donington Saturday weather update

1 of 1

The sun is out and track temperatures are already way up on yesterday for the second qualifying day of the European round of WSB at Donington Park.

With times hampered in the first qualifying session yesterday due to cold conditions and a damp track, riders will face a completely dry circuit today.

The temperature for yesterday afternoons WSB first qualifying peaked at nine degrees centigrade, but already (at 10am) the temperature has climbed to 10 degrees today and will only get warmer. So if you’re coming to spectacle over the weekend, the conditions are perfect for biking and be sure to bring some shades with you.

Current title leader James Toseland yesterday said he was hoping for better conditions for the rest of the weekend, and it looks like his wish has been granted.

Yesterday was the first wet practice or qualifying session the WSB field has had to face in two years aside from a brief wet session on race day last year before the Assen races.
