Riders and circuit pay tribute to Craig Jones

Since the tragic death of Craig Jones at last weekends World Supersport race at Brands Hatch, tributes to the fallen star have been flooding in to MCN from the motorcycle community.

Among them Paulo Pinheiro, owner of the new Portuguese Portimao circuit and title sponsor of Jones’ Parkalgar Honda team has announced that he will name a corner at the new circuit in honour of the 23 year old Brit.

Jones’ best friend and fellow racer, Tommy Hill is also working on a way he can pay his last respects and is liasing with Jones’ Parkalgar team to complete a lap of honour at Donington Park, which hosts the next round of the World Superbike Championship on the 5th to 7th September.

Long time friend and rival Cal Crutchlow is set to wear a Craig Jones Replica helmet at this weekend’s BSB race at Knockhill and reigning WSB champion James Toseland will wear a black armband at next weeks Brno MotoGP race.

Meanwhile hundreds of motorcyclenews.com user have paid tribute to Craig jones with stories about their experiences with the Brit rider and comments on how much he will be missed.
