Season in doubt for injured Fabien Foret

Factory Yamaha World Supersport rider Fabien Foret has been ruled out of the Brno race weekend following a heavy crash in first qualifying on Friday.

The Frenchman was knocked unconscious when he fell at turn one in the final minute of the 45 minute long session.

Foret was taken to Brno hospital where was diagnosed as having concussion, cerebral haematoma and a cracked fourth vertebrae.

Initial reports are that Foret could be out f racing for between two and three months, effectively ruling him out of the remainder of the season.

The former World Champion currently sits second in the world championship standings 16 points behind leader Andrew Pitt.

There is currently no news on Foret’s replacement for the Brands Hatch race in two weeks time.
