Brno World Supersport: Jonathan Rea takes win, Craig Jones retires

Ten Kate Honda rider Jonathan Rea has taken the win in the World Supersport race at Brno after an epic battle with Brit Craig Jones and team-mate Andrew Pitt.

The 18 lap race saw an epic battle at the front between Jones, Pitt and Rea, ending only when Craig Jones had a technical poblem on lap 13 while leading the race.

Irishman Jonathan Rea ran wide on lap six and was pushed back to sixth, enabling Suzuki rider Barry Veneman to move up to third place behind Jones and Pitt. Rea then put in several fastest laps in succesion to quickly move back up to the sharp end of the race.

Honda rider Robin Harms then joined the battle for the lead, dicing with Pitt, Jones and Rea for first spot.

On the last lap Robin Harms has a mechanical problem and was unable to continue to run at the front, gifintg the last step on the podium to hie team-mate, Josh Brookes.
