Team switch for Graeme Gowland in Germany

British rider Graeme Gowland will ride for the Italian Berry Racing team for the rest of the World Supersport season starting with round six of the championship at Nurburgring on 13th to 15th June.

Graeme Gowland made his World Supersport debut with the Dutch Benjan Racing Team showing his impressive pace which netted him points in the Phillip Island race in Australia.

Unfortunately the 22 year old reigning Spanish Supersport Champion has been unable to find the necessary improvement with his bike and build on his strong results so has elected to part company with the Dutch team.

Gowland will replace fellow Brit Kev Coughlan who rode for the Berry Racing team Honda CBR600RR as a stand in rider during the last two rounds of the series at Monza and Assen.

Gowland said: “The last three races have been very difficult due to a few issues which have affected my confidence and the enjoyment from my racing so we decided to go our separate ways.

“However we parted company on good terms and I’d like to wish the Benjan Racing Team all the best.”

“Now I am really happy to be joining the Berry Racing Team and looking forward to a new challenge at the first race with the team in Germany.”
