Rain threatens Parkalgar WSB test

Heavy rain and blustery wind are threatening any meaningful testing at the planned three day World Superbike and World Supersport test at the Parkalgar circuit in Portugal.

The test is due to start tomorrow (Friday) but current conditions are causing standing water and poor visibility.

Planned Formula One testing involving Maclaren, Renault and Toyota had to be cancelled due to safety reasons today.

The F1 paddock requires helicopters to be able to fly in case of medical emergency, but with low cloud and mist all helicopters were grounded.

Friday’s weather forecast is predicting more rain with improved conditions on Saturday, but rain returning on Sunday.
