Testing underway for Ten Kate Honda in Assen

The four man Hannspree Ten Kate Honda squad are mid way through day one of a two day private test at Assen.

Jonathan Rea, Max Neukirchner, Kenan Sofuoglu and Michele Pirro completed their first laps on the track in bright sunshine this morning.

Since the 2009 race, the Assen circuit has been modified with the corner at the end of the back straight now faster, which in turn has reduced the lap time and increased the overall average speed of the lap.

Brit Jonathan Rea will use the two days to further develop the HRC electronics package he introduced in last weekends Valencia race. Rea struggled with grip and acceleration in Spain and will be keen to resolve the issues in time for the next round which takes place at the teams home race at Assen on 23rd to 25th April.
