Misano WSB: Corser: “We’re here to win the race”

Following a successful test at the Misano track ten days ago, BMW rider Troy Corser says that he’s back in Italy and here to win.

Onboard the fast developing BMW S1000RR Corser has already secured a podium finish in 2010 and with the improvements made to the bike in recent weeks he cites the Misano race as the start to the second half of the 2010 season.

Speaking to MCN, Corser said:“In America last time out we were there to get a result where as here we’ve come to win the race. We’ll see how we get on. Misano is a strange track in that that it changes from day to day weekend to weekend.”

During the Misano test, Corser introduced a new rear suspension link and Ohlins rear shock to improve edge grip. He also experimented with revised weight distribution to help the balance of the bike.

“The times in testing were really close and that’s down to it being how fast the track allowed you to go. We’ve got a pretty good starting set-up but we know that it’s going to be different from the test.”
