Australian WSS: Cluzel on pole for season opener

Frenchman Jules Cluzel has taken the first pole position of 2015 on the MV Agusta, holding off former champion Kenan Sofuoglu in a tightly fought battle for the front row. The second MV of Lorenzo Zanetti will complete the row, for the Italian manufacturer’s best ever qualifying.

Brits Gino Rea and Kyle Smith were fourth and fifth, with new Pata Honda rider Smith managing to claw back a good result despite crashing out at turn five with 18 minutes left of the 50 minute session. Ratthapark Wilairot completes that row.
