Kyle Smith moves to CIA Landlords Insurance Honda

24-year-old Brit Kyle Smith will ride for the CIA Landlords Insurance Honda team in World Supersport for the 2016 season, after signing for the team on Saturday (October 17).

The Brit, who rode with the PATA Honda team in 2015 had his 2016 ride all wrapped up, before going on to take the win in the final race of the season at the Losail circuit in Qatar.

Victory at the final round capped off what was a strong debut season for the 24-year-old Brit, who also finished on the podium at the Aragon and Assen rounds.

Speaking about the move, Kyle said: “I am delighted to be racing for CIA Landlords Insurance Honda in the 2016 World Supersport Championship. I signed with the team and then finished this season with a win, which sets me up for a great winter. I can’t wait to get my first ride on the CIA Landlords Insurance Honda and the 2016 season starts now for me – I want to be challenging fo the title.”
