1 of 1

Tom Sykes pipped team-mate Jonathan Rea to top the timesheets as team’s completed a one-day test in Misano.

Mirroring the weekend’s race action, the Kawasaki Racing Team duo of Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes dominated proceedings, but it was this time Sykes leading the way for most of the day before Rea briefly took over at the top only to be toppled by his team-mate in the closing moments.

Following on from his home podium in Sunday’s second race, Davide Giugliano was third fastest for Ducati ahead of the increasingly impressive Leon Camier, who took the fourth fastest spot albeit some 0.6 seconds off Sykes’ fastest time.

Jordi Torres was fifth on the Althea BMW ahead of Chaz Davies, who fell from his Panigale R in the final stages of the day. The Honda of Michael van der Mark ranked eighth ahead of the leading Yamaha of Alex Lowes, with Lorenzo Savadori and Nicky Hayden completing the top ten.

The series will now take a short break before resuming at Laguna Seca between 8-10 July.
