Our UK bike is the one of the Homologated Limited Edition MY04 full Carbon models, registered 5th March 2004 and is without doubt one of the best we have seen. The bike (number #23) is supplied with the boxed authenticity plaque, 3 keys, hand books and a host of paperwork including a itemised comprehensive service history. It is fitted with the Termignoni Exhaust, open clutch cover and a vast selection of carbon extras including rear hugger and chain guard, front mudguard, key, heel and exhaust guard. The bike has recently had new tyres fitted and also supplied with the package are all the original parts and two files full of spec sheets, CD with 999R manual and information. The 999R superseded the Massimo Tamburini designed Ducati 916, 996 & 998 range of superbikes in 2003 and was produced through to 2006. This bike enjoyed great success in World Superbike and was raced in the series through the 2007 season. The 999R was designed by Pierre Terblanche amid much controversy over its styling, despite this it is still known as an extremely high performance race orientated motorcycle. With its traditional Ducati twin desmodromic valve actuated engine layout it has a linear power delivery with high power and torque figures available even at low RPM. Additionally with its high spec suspension and trellis chassis, its one of the finest handling motorcycles of its time. This bike would be a fantastic addition to any serious collection.
