Invitation to test ride the SV1000S now closed

Published: 25 February 2003

The chance invitation to test ride the Suzuki SV1000S has now closed

"Thanks to everyone who has replied to our invitation to ride the SV1000S. We've been bombarded with applications and the offer is now closed. Please accept our apologies if you were one of the hundreds who e-mailed us and didn't get a reply. We've simply been overwhelmed, " Keith Farr, MCN Road test editor.

The original invitation:

If you own one of five specific bikes, that’s exactly what you could be doing on Thursday, March 13.

We’re looking for owners of a Honda FireStorm, Suzuki SV650, Yamaha Fazer 1000, Honda CBR600F (not the Sport) and Aprilia Falco to give us their opinion on this 165mph V-twin.

We’ve hired Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire as the venue.

To be in with a shout, you’ll need to be available on that date, be prepared to bring your bike there – come rain or shine – have at least three years riding experience, and possess that elusive clean or nearly clean driving licence. Race exhausts are banned, so you’ll need road legal silencers – no exceptions.

In return, you’ll get to ride the SV1000S, mull its merits over with the other riders there, and deliver your verdict for inclusion in a forthcoming MCN test.

We’ll even pay your petrol and buy you lunch.

E-mail in the first instance. Head your e-mail SV Request and include a daytime and evening phone number for us to call you back.
