Kent Fire and Rescue Services Ride Skills courses at Brands Hatch

1 of 2

Kent Fire and Rescue Services have just released the dates for their remaining five Ride Skills courses, which take place at Brands Hatch circuit in Kent.

The courses are aimed at riders of all abilities, but newer or less experienced riders are particularly welcomed as this is far from just a trackday. This is a course that will not only improve your riding, but could also even help you save someone’s life. And, best of all, the full day course costs just £60, which is amazing value for money considering what you are getting.

TOP STORIES

The day starts with a one-hour First Aid course, which is then followed by an hour’s assessed ride with an IAM Observer or Fire Bike Rider. After this, you get to spend an hour practicing low speed control and emergency stops in a safe environment on your own bike before another hour of Advanced Theory input. And then it’s onto the track!

At the end of the day, riders will have two 20-minute track sessions with instructor on hand to help give guidance. And yes, some will be firing fire-spec Fireblades, which is pretty cool!

The courses will run on:

  • 23 April
  • 30 May
  • 14 June
  • 9 July
  • 29 August
  • 10 September
