Yamaha Off-Road Experience racks up 30 'fantastic' years in the business

The Yamaha Off-Road Experience celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Enduro legend and multi–British Champion Geraint Jones established the centre in 1994, and it has now grown into one of the leading off-road training destinations in the UK.

Jones said: “I first approached Yamaha in 1991 having raced enduro for them towards the end of my career. Then, in 1994, we needed motorcycles for the public to ride and experience a taste of what enduro riding is all about, and what started with just four bikes, grew into what you see today.”

Initially, the centre ran XT500s, DT125Rs and then WR200s. Today they run a fleet of the latest WR250F and WR450F enduro machines, with Ténéré 700 adventure bikes available for the Ténéré Experience.

Jeff Turner, Yamaha Marketing Manager, commented: “It’s been a fantastic journey together with the Jones family. It’s become what I believe to be the most professional and the best organised, with the best facilities of any off-road experience in the country.”
