TVS-backed Norton Motorcycles are dipping into their rich heritage and sponsoring the 2024 Lansdowne Classic Racing Series.

A championship designed for pre-1965 classic Grand Prix machinery only, it’s been popular with competitors favouring the thumping Norton Manx single since the inception of the class in 1998.

“While Norton has an illustrious history within international motorcycle racing, we recognise the importance of investing in grassroot motorsports in the UK,” CEO Robert Hentschel said. “We look forward to supporting the motorcycling community throughout the season.”

The season kicked off on April 6-7 at Pembrey in Wales, with other events taking place at Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Darley Moor, and more.

“We are delighted to have Norton join the series this year,” Lansdowne Classic Series Organiser, Gordon Russell said. “It will help raise the profile of the series, and classic racing, and hopefully attract new (and old) riders to get involved.”
