MCN and Charley Boorman test the new BMW R1200GS and Adventure

Motorcycle News Road Tester Adam Child, along with guest tester Charley Boorman from ‘The Long Way Down’, are currently in windy Wales testing the updated 2008 BMW R1200GS Adventure and standard 2008 BMW R1200GS.

The big changes are engine tweaks that give 10% more power and the high tech ESA suspension system which lets you alter the suspension at the touch of a button.

Adam says: “The extra power is really noticeable as is a revised gearbox which gives a much smoother and slicker gear change. The suspension is the most advanced of any road motorcycle. I’m amazed at what this big bike is capable of off road even for a relative novice like me.”
