There are three new Yamaha FJR1300 models for 2016; standard (£13,299), AE (£14,799) and AS with auto clutch (£15,499). Yamaha has finally given the FJR a long overdue sixth gear for 2016. All three models also get Yamaha’s Assist and Slip clutch technology, new posh clocks, panniers as standard and LED lighting units front and rear. The A model has a conventional fork set-up while the AE and AS have been treated to fully adjustable electronic suspension and upside-down forks. The AE and AS models are also the first Yamahas to come with adaptive cornering lights, which ping into action automatically when the bike is leant over.
Check back tomorrow for the first ride report.
