Called the 1, the bike was originally unveiled on social media platform TikTok (nope we don’t use it either…) as it’s a platform mostly used by younger people. Now, more details have been released about the little scoot.

The idea behind the 1 is that it’s a funky, simple to use and reliable electric scooter. It will be available from £2500.

There will be a few different models, with differing power outputs and battery sizes to suit varying licence regulations and to suit different budgets.

The standard £2500 1 will have a top speed of 28mph, a range of up to 34 miles and can be ridden by a 16-year-old. The £3000 1 Active can achieve 37mph and will go 53 miles in ECO and 41 miles in SPORT.

There will also be some nice tech under the hood including a 5.5″ TFT dash that can change according to ambient conditions, full LED lights, keyless start and two throttle maps.

It sticks with the standard scooter layout with a flat floor and pull out passenger pegs plus Piaggio also claims it’s the only e-scoot in this category that has a spacious luggage compartment under the seat. To make charging easier, the batteries will also be removeable to charge in the home.
