Alpinestar SMX-5

After upgrading from 50cc to 125cc, I decided it was time to buy some proper gear rather than risk injury or worse.

So I looked at a range of boots and decided on the Alpinestar SMX-5 none waterproof in black and white.

Trying them on for the first time they felt comfortable, secure and snug while still giving freedom of movement.

This feeling continued when I tried them on the bike for the first time. Although these are not the waterproof version of the boot I have never had any water leak into the boot even through torrential rain.

I decided not to buy the WP boots because the price increase was quite large and I thought a decent waterproof spray would do the job for a lot less.

Overall these boots are great in all conditions.
