Tyre review: Avon Viper Supersport

What's good? I was in need of some tyres that would fit my Street Triple and cope with the rigors of commuting, scratching and the odd session in the fast group at track days.
They also had to be reasonably priced (I picked these up for £150 for the pair) as my bike's tax and insurance fell in the same month.
The Avon Viper Super Sport seemed the perfect option. It's the slightly more road oriented version of the Viper Extreme track tyre.
Anglesey, Cadwell and Mallory track days and 2800 road miles later, they have just about had it.
Not so much as a slide or a moment to worry me, providing ample grip for the Street Triple in both the wet and dry.
What's not? Very little. The front has predictably outlasted the rear and could probably cope with another rear tyre's worth of miles before replacement. Highly recommended tyres.
