Oxford Merino Cosy neck tube, £19.99

What’s good? I’m not a big fan of neck tubes but at sub-zero temperatures they’re an invaluable warmth giver and draught excluder. This Merino is a new addition to Oxford’s massive range of neck tubes, offering great thermal properties. It’s breathable, has an anti-bacterial treatment to keep it fresh, and the wool’s natural properties make for a great wind resistant layer. It’s super-soft against your skin, and doesn’t snag against your stubble, or relentlessly creep down into your jacket, resulting in the need to readjust at every junction. If you don’t like the blue, it also comes in black, taupe, or pink.
What’s not? It’s a little short – but Oxford tell me that all new ones will now be an inch longer.
